The partners of UniCredit Bank Hungary are using an extensive and approved online card acceptance system, secure in every element. The parties in transactions receive the information relevant only for themselves.

Besides the obligatory safety measures, the payment page uses 3D Secure solution too, developed by MasterCard and Visa international card issuer companies. 3D Secure is identifiable by the user initiating the payment by symbols showing “Verified by Visa” & “MasterCard SecureCode”, offering the highest degree of security possible. In case of 3D Secure transactions – only when the credit/debit card itself is 3D Secure compatible – the user is compelled to grant a unique ID usable only for online purchases. Therefore in case of such transactions, before the payment procedure the authentication of the issuer bank guarantees the identification.

The payment page possesses a security certificate supplied by RSA 2048 bit encryption, which assures the provided data security through a TLS 1.0 channel.

Conditions and process of payment procedure by card:

1. Buyer assembles the shopping cart on the website according to his needs, gives the necessary data for delivery, then chooses online payment at check-out.

2. Afterwards the buyer is redirected to the payment page of the bank. On the appearing page containing a UniCredit symbol the bankcard details has to be provided (name, card number, expiry date, 3-digit CVC or CVV signature code).

a. If the card is compatible with 3D Secure, for authentication, a separate ID has to be provided too, provided by the issuer bank

b. If the authentication was successful, online request for permission will be sent for the use of the card. If the request is granted, the transaction will be executed

c. Finally, the system redirects the buyer back to the online shop, where he receives confirmation about the successful transaction

The bank accepts embossed VISA & Mastercard, Visa Electron (depending on the decision of the issuer bank), and Maestro cards, which contain a signature (CVC). If there’s no such code on your bank card, please inquire at your bank.

Cards issued exclusively for electronic/online transactions or use is only accepted when its use is permitted by the issuer bank. Please inquire at your bank about the usability of your cards during internet purchase.
